He served in the South Pacific, Australia, Hiroshima and Pearl Harbor. Bud is preceded in death by his parents, Ona (Travis) and William J. Butler; wife Viola; daughter, Leslie R. Ford; son-in-laws, Richard White, Gene Ford, Jerry Smith; brother, William (Alice) Butler; sisters, Lorraine (George) Pruitt, Doris (Andy) Heidt; grandson, John Ford.
